International Scientific and Educational Conference: ‘HUMANISTIC VALUES OF MANKIND IN THE REALITIES OF THE MODERN WORLD’

The Ukrainian Peace Council (UPC) recently participated in the international scientific and educational conference titled "Humanistic Values of Mankind in the Realities of the Modern World" at the invitation of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.

The international forum was organized by the UNESCO Chair "Music, Education, Science for Peace" at the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music.

Maksym Tymoshenko, President of the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of holding such international events, particularly in light of the challenges faced by our country due to aggression.

    Distinguished guests, who graced the opening of the conference, included:

Ernesto Ottone, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture;

Federico Mayor Zaragoza, former Director-General of UNESCO and the President of the Foundation ‘Culture for Peace’;

Kateryna Chueva, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine;

Vyacheslav Bogdanov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU), NASU Vice-President;

Volodymyr Novokhatskii, Deputy Head – UPC Director, Doctor in Political Science, Ambassador for Peace;

Herman Makarenko, Professor, Doctor in Art Criticism, People's Artist of Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukrainian Culture, UNESCO Artist for Peace, Acting UNESCO Chair in Music, Education, Science for Peace.
