UPC Awards

Pursuant to Clause 2.3.10 of the Charter of the Ukrainian Peace Council, the Honorary Distinction of the Ukrainian Peace Council, the “Order of Peace” (First and Second Class), is awarded to veterans of the peace movement, distinguished figures in culture, science, sports, education, political and public life, as well as eminent representatives of religious denominations, in recognition of their significant personal contribution to the promotion of justice, humanism, peace and social harmony in Ukraine and abroad; to the development of a democratic and peace-loving Ukrainian state; for many years of active and fruitful public service; philanthropy; highly professional and dedicated work for the benefit of the Motherland; advancement of national culture, science and education; commitment to peacebuilding; and for enhancing Ukraine’s standing in the international arena.

The Honorary Distinction of the Ukrainian Peace Council consists of the “Order of Peace” Insignia of the respective Class and the Diploma of the Honorary Distinction of the Ukrainian Peace Council, which constitute its integral attributes.
